Yes folks, it finally happened. Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are officially over. Is anyone really surprised? No one is sure at this point who dumped who, and all kinds of conflicting stories are going around. Here’s a recap of all the dirt:

“John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved. Contrary to reports, Jen didn’t want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together.

She also wanted him to assure her he would cut down his tours in the future when they did eventually have children. Initially, Jennifer was furious when he told her of his decision but now she’s simply sad – not to mention a little heartbroken.”

Sources close to Jennifer Aniston told the Chicago Sun Times that she’s the one who did the dumping!

“Jen who decided to move on,’ says the friend. “She is very fond of John and has thought he might be the one. She finds him funny, sexy and very talented. … Plus he understands all the aspects of living in a fishbowl. But in the final analysis, she just got tired of his roving eye.”

Since the split, Mayer has been avoiding parazzi, which has raised some eyebrows. He usually enjoys teasing the photogs, but he went so far as to cover his face at the airport recently. Perez Hilton reports that Drew Barrymore and boyfriend Justin Long are officially broken up, and Drew’s publicist is said to have confirmed the split. They were so cute together though!

First, rumors swirled about how Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie were getting a divorce. Then, their publicists asserted that nothing could be further from the truth. Then, new rumors popped up, about Madonna having an illicit affair with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez. Madonna and A-Rod? We never would have thought to pair those two up, although now we can call them A-Rodonna or possibly Mad-Rod. Both options are equally entertaining!

Anyway, US Weekly offered a laundry list of “evidence” that this romance was for real:

“– Rodriguez, who makes $28 million/year, has been meeting Madonna at her NYC home and would sneak out “as late as midnight.” Says the source, “All the doormen are talking.”

– Rodriguez attended Madonna’s April 30 NYC concert

– Madonna, 49, sat in Rodriguez’s seats at a Yankees game on June 22 (it was her first time getting photographed at a Yankees game).

– Rodriguez, 32, married with two young daughters, has already faced speculation about cheating: In 2007, he and a stripper were reportedly spied in Toronto, Miami and Dallas.”

That’s basically the entire case right there. Oh and also, Madonna and Guy haven’t been pictured wearing their wedding rings recently. That was solid proof of a problem for about a minute, until bloggers and gossip mags looked through their archives and realized the couple would often go out bare handed.

So the current status is…confusing. We promise to update once we figure it out though!

Word is that Guy has been spending his time in London recently, while Madonna is hanging out in New York. Not sure where the kids are, or which parent they’re with…divorces are always hard for kids, but when the proceedings are tabloid fodder – it can get ugly. Speaking of getting ugly, Perez Hilton noted that the pair has no prenuptial agreement. We smell a divorce debacle in the works…

UPDATE: A report by E!’s Ted Casablanca that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are considering breaking up is “100% completely fabricated,” Garner’s rep tells Usmagazine.com.

Ted Casablanca, uuber-gossip king of E! Online’s The Awful Truth, reports that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner might be breaking up. NOOOO! Those two (and little Violet, of course) seem so happy and real, and we can’t stand to think that it isn’t working out. This is even more traumatizing then when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston got divorced! Casablanca noted that the rumor hadn’t been confirmed, but Affleck’s team was quick to retort:

“We usually don’t comment on stuff like this,” shot Camp Affleck. “But you should know sources are liars. If you guys want to do the right thing, you won’t post that item. It’s all BS.”

Casablanca fired back, though, with his own take on the matter:

“Really? Interesting, as it’s from the same bull-pooping peeps who originally told me Ms. G was moving from Vartan to Affleck, the fickle little femme.”

We have no idea what to think!

Page Six had an interesting tidbit courtesy of John Mayer’s ex-girlfriend (and Friday Night Lights star) Minka Kelly:

“JOHN Mayer might have broken Minka Kelly’s heart when he left her for Jennifer Aniston – but he had the decency to call her before the news about them hit the press. A Kelly pal said, “Minka [above] received a call from John prior to the story breaking about his relationship with Jennifer. He apologized to Minka, ‘Sorry, but I’m really in love.’ ” She found that interesting as, “during his relationship with her, John mentioned, ‘I don’t really get this Jennifer Aniston thing.’ ” Mayer’s rep declined to comment.”

It would all be nice for Jen, but John seems to fall in and out of love pretty quickly. Who knows, though – it might just work out!

Attention ladies, gather round…the eternal bachelor, George Clooney, is once again up for grabs! Our hearts go out to his ex, Sarah Larson, who lasted longer than any woman in his life recently (besides his pot belly pig!). That being said, this opens the door for us to pretend George is really just waiting for us. He’s officially one of the sexiest men in Hollywood, so hey – a girl can dream, right?

As soon as Mariah was seen sporting her bling, fans and media alike noticed something a bit suspicious. Just last year, Nick was engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, and her ring looked an awful lot like the one now worn by Ms. Carey - or should we say Ms. Cannon?! Further gossip reports that an impromptu Cannon and Carey wedding happened in a tropical location just last week. The timing has raised eyebrows, though, because Mariah just happens to have released a new album, while Nick has four films coming out in the next year. Seems like a prime time to generate some buzz, dontcha think?

We’ve seen the pictures, and the two rings do look remarkably similar. Even if they aren’t the exact same piece of bling, you’d think that the reigning pop diva would demand something a bit more unique. She can’t be happy that her wedding is already best known for a recycled ring! She might just take back her hit single request to “Touch My Body” and instead tell Nick to get (Wild ‘N) Out! Maybe Cannon should take a cue from Kobe Bryant, and buy Mariah an “apology diamond” to make up for this fashion faux pas. Did Nick re-gift any diamonds to former flames such as Christina Milian? We bet they’re checking their jewelry boxes right now…

Most popular reality shows have plenty of on-screen hookups, but the relationships don’t seem to last once the cameras are off. That’s not the case for Dancing with the Stars – the matches made here are actually continuing in “real life”!

The most recent example comes from last night’s season 5 finale, with racecar driver Helio Castroneves and partner Julianne Hough taking home the trophy. The couple has been causing raised eyebrows all season, as their sensual moves and obvious chemistry left us wondering if they had a real life romance going on. They haven’t made it official yet, but Helio did abruptly end his year long engagement with jewelry designer Aliette Vazquez…

Helio and Julianne are in good company if the rumors are true – in May of 07, it was reported that TV star Mario Lopez and his dance partner, Karina Smirnoff, officially moved in together! Things didn’t fare as well for another rumored couple from that season – singer Willa Ford and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were strictly business. Willa’s November 06 engagement to hockey star Mike Modano officially dispelled the rumors that her and Maksim were dancing off stage as well!

Perhaps the younger set will fare better? Disney Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan is still paired with her dancer, Mark Ballas, after a surprising early elimination weeks ago. Fans had suspected that love was in the air, and there was no denying it once cameras glimpsed them after they were ousted. Sabrina called Mark “baby”, and he responded with “I love you”. Now, the twenty somethings are an official item, so we’re guessing they aren’t too broken up over the elimination!

What’s the moral of this story? Dancing with the Stars gives us plenty of celebrity dirt to dish, so keep an eye out for the next reality-show-turned-real-life couple!
