Celebs Love Faux Jewelry!

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

We all know that celebrities love their diamonds – but did you know that they also enjoy fake jewelry? Stars love to wear rhinestones and CZs, especially when they’re out on the town. Why risk losing or damaging jewelry that costs thousands of dollars, when you can rock an affordable alternative? The best part is that no one has to know! When you buy quality imitation jewelry, like the items you find on Emitations.com, the fact that it’s faux is our little secret…

Coco Chanel was one of the first to outfit celebrities in rhinestones and CZs, but the trend didn’t stop with her. Recently, big name jewelry owners like Paris Hilton have gone on record about sporting fake engagement rings. The 12-29-08 issue of Star magazine noted that one of the most well known celebrity couples – Beyonce and Jay-Z – also opted for faux bling:

“Once wasn’t enough for Jay-Z. He put a ring on Beyonce twice! The singer received two engagement baubles from her hubby: a $5 million 18-carat diamond ring, and a $5,000 cubic zirconia copy! ‘Even though Beyonce’s real engagement ring is insured, she doesn’t always feel comfortable wearing such a valuable stone,’ an insider says. She rocks out on stage with the fake, while the real rock is locked away in a vault!”

Emitations has a faux version of Beyonce’s engagement ring, but it won’t cost you $5,000. Our version goes for just $150! Young Hollywood is also in on the fake bling game – rising star Demi Lovato was just interviewed by Seventeen magazine about her jewelry preferences:

“I’m a huge accessories person. I love chunky jewelry. Like lots of rhinestones, I grew up in pageants so anything glitzy is fine by me.”

You don’t have to be a celeb to enjoy fake jewelry. In fact, this is one trend that the stars are stealing from us! Emitations.com has CZ rings, rhinestone necklaces, and even a pink simulated diamond ring. No matter what type of costume jewelry you crave, Emitations has it here for you.

Hey Jay Z, what rhymes with fiance?

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Jay Z and BeyonceIn a hush hush ceremony turned paparazzi spectacle, hip hop mogul Jay Z is reported to have wed songstress Beyonce on Friday April 4th. Media suspicions were aroused by the huge white canopy set up on the pent house balcony, which was visible from the street, as well as masses of flower arrangements and limo driven guests. The coverage went full force, though, when celebrity blogger Perez Hilton announced the address of the event on his webpage.

Jay Z and Beyonce have been dating for over six years, but they’ve never publicly confirmed or denied their relationship status (or lack thereof). Even after Beyonce’s mother made a coy remark about potential grandchildren, the couple remained mum on whether or not they were actually hitched. We’re frustrated because we want to see the rock! As the power couple of hip hop and R&B music, the duo definitely has some change to spare on a sparkler of a wedding ring. Plus, they each have their own clothing lines, so we know they have an eye for fashion!

For a while, Beyonce was spotted with some golden bling on her left ring finger, but it wasn’t the diamond we were expecting. Instead, it was a gold ring that spelled out “Shawn”, which happens to be Jay Z’s real first name. The most recent update, though, involves a reported 16 carat diamond ring that Beyonce wore to Jay Z’s Atlanta concert last week. Somehow there are no pictures online of this significant gem, though it is said that she quickly covered it up with black gloves after it was spotted.

One thing is for sure – as soon as those pics are available, Emitations.com will have a gorgeous, affordable replica available! In the meantime, check out the rest of our Beyonce inspired bling…
