Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. These are not just any ordinary names, but our favorite gals from Sex and the City. Even after the show’s eight year run (1998-2006), two blockbuster movies and continual worldwide syndication, our fans here at Emitations are still gaga over these ladies’ style and so are we! The signature jewelry looks that these ladies rock continue to keep our Sex and the City Jewelry searches sky high and we want to continue to offer you the best matches so that you can rock the same New York City glam!
The latest installment of the Sex and the City movies inspired two unique looks from our favorite glamazon girl, Carrie Bradshaw. In the Sex and the City 2 flick, Miss Bradshaw is seen wearing a gorgeous silver horseshoe pendant necklace multiple times and while wearing multiple outfits. Our Candace’s “Sex & the City” CZ Horseshoe Necklace is the perfect way to show off your own Carrie Bradshaw style with virtually any outfit. Our second look features our take on the very chic black diamond ring that Mr. Big offers to Bradshaw in the film. We love our Petite Faux Carrie’s Black Diamond Ring, which will allow you to channel your inner Carrie and flaunt your style wherever you are! And who could forget our favorite, fabulous vixen, Samantha Jones. She definitely rocked some divalicious style in the latest film, rocking gold hoops and a gold spike necklace. You’ll love our version of Samantha’s earrings here at Emitations!
We love our girls from Sex and the City and we hope that the girls reunite for a third flick. And you know what that means: sassier signature jewelry looks! We’ll cross our fingers. In the meantime, get inspired by our entire Sex and the City Jewelry Collection, only at Emitations.

ImNotObsessed reports that Vivienne Westwood - the real life designer who crafted Carrie’s wedding dress - didn’t have anything nice to say about Sex and the City:
“I thought Sex And The City was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw.”
She also noted:
“I went to the premiere and left after ten minutes.”
OUCH! She didn’t even stay long enough to see her own dress? Is she trying pull a Katherine Heigl, and bite the hand that fed her? This all seems too bad to be true, but we tend to trust what Vera from ImNotObsessed has to say…what do you think?
Is there a major faux pas in the Sex and the City movie? No, not a fashion faux pas – something worse! (And no, we’re not talking about that crazy hippie outfit that Charlotte is sporting. But seriously, what is up with that?) What could possibly be worse than a last season bag or broken heel? Supposedly there are visible boom mics scattered throughout the movie! More info once the film premieres here in San Diego…
It’s been a loooong wait, but we’ve just about made it! Sex and the City: The Moviepremiered in THE city, New York, which inspired it all. The stars were looking much more glam, and much less…ahem…garish than they did for the London and Berlin premieres – no crazy hats or tapestry dresses! Everyone gathered outside of New York’s Radio City Music Hall, and Swarovski provided over 10,000 crystals to adorn the pink carpet. Yes, that’s right – a pink carpet that was positively coated in bling. If only we could have been there! Team Emitations would have fit right in with that decor…
Leading lady Sarah Jessica Parker wore a shimmering, strapless Nina Ricci gown, complete with jewelry accessories by Fred Leighton. The heart shaped bodice gave it a ballerina feel, but the flowing train reminded us of a futuristic, fashion forward wedding gown. She was completely Carrie, from head to toe!
Kristin Davis complemented her perfectly, with her golden accordian pleated Donna Karen dress. The ruching at the hemline and off the shoulder neckline were just the right mix of class and sass, just like Charlotte! She was also dripping in 19th Century diamonds, which added to her glamorous look.
Kim Cattrall was consumate Samantha, with a (sorta?) strapless Vivienne Westwood gown in a metallic slate hue. It had lace paneling up the sides, which extended above the bodice. It almost looked like the dress had straps that were just tucked inside? This is a couture cocktail dress, though, so we’re assuming it was intentional. Her ball drop diamond earrings looked perfect against the beading and ruching of the dress!
It looks like Cynthia Nixon was the only one sans shimmering metal shades, except for her purse. Cynthia rocked a flowing, grecian style gown with layers of frothy white fabric. The Narciso Rodriguez was accented by a metallic gold box clutch, and chic dangle drop earrings. How very Miranda of her!
Sexy newbie Jennifer Hudson, aka Carrie’s assistant Louise, also got in the glam, wearing an olive-gold metallic dress by Peter Soronen. The bustier style top showed off her assets in a high fashion way, which isn’t an easy feat for many couture designs! The short sleeves and knee length hemline kept it from being too risque, and the look was tied together with Hudson‘s cuff bracelet, sleek hair, and black clutch purse.
One thing is certain – all of the Sex and the City stars were looking FIERCE! Want to score your own Sexy style? We have an incredible collection of jewelry inspired by the Sex and the City series and the movie. Check out our Sex and the City jewelry collection now, and you’ll be dressed to impress when the premiere rolls into your town. Sex and the City premiered Monday, May 12th at Odeon Leicester Square in London, England
For the world premiere of the much anticipated Sex and the City movie, the four stars lived up to their fashion plate reputations! Sarah Jessica Parker did her alter ego proud, in a getup only Carrie Bradshaw would dare to wear. Her lemongrass green Alexander McQueen frock was (literally) overshadowed by a dramatic Philip Treacy hat.
The garden inspired headgear was anything but garden variety, with fronds, flowers, and butterflies bursting from what looked like a large – albeit couture – acorn. Her other accessories were kept relatively mellow, with just a sparkling flower bracelet and a clutch purse in hand. We adore the dress, but we just can’t get behind (or see around!) that massive hat…
Cynthia Nixon channeled a bit of Miranda for the premiere, going with a sleek and chic black Calvin Klein gown and modular dangle earrings. The incredibly low cut square collar was balanced by the full length skirt, bringing us the sexy career woman vibe that was the hallmark of Miranda Hobbes. The floor skimming hemline was a little out of place, but hey, someone had to mix it up amid all the fashion havoc!
Kristin Davis went brighter than her character, Charlotte York, would usually prefer. Her bright red vintage gown featured a modest neckline, sheer panels, ruching, and an assymetrical hemline. Simple gold accessories completed the look in style. Fashion forward, but not too fiesty…sounds awfully familiar! It was almost a little too safe, though, with nary a designer label in sight. A night like that one called for the most elite of brand names, and we know she could have scored a gown fit for royalty for this occasion!
Finally, Kim Cattrall was oh-so-Samantha, in a daring off the shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown. The brilliant tomato red color, flirty knee length cut, and flawless accessories were the epitomy of in your face Sam, but it all left a bit to be desired. Something about the thick, starchy fabric of Kim‘s (otherwise fabulous) dress reminded us a little too much of Scarlett O’Hara and her gown made from curtains.
We can’t wait for the New York premiere, where the women are sure to rock the most fabulous fashions. It is, after all, the city that inspired the show! Alright, technically, it was the city that inspired Candace Bushnell’s column in the New York Observer, which inspired the Sex and the City book, which inspired the HBO television series, which inspired the movie. Whew! But anyway you look at it, the big apple was the big source for the fashions, the flirting, and the fierce characters we’ve come to love…
Women are shopping like crazy, planning girl getaways to the theater, and busting out their Balenciagas and Manolos. Men are, for the most part, taking cover. It can only mean one thing…Sex and the City: The Movieis almost here! We’ve been waiting for what seems like forever to find out what happens to our fave chick clique, and finally the secrets will be revealed.
We’ve spent soooo much time compiling our Sex and the City jewelry collection, and we thought we knew the whole plot. Just when we had it figured out, Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker flipped the script on us! The dream sequences? Might just be regular scenes. The on-set drama? Could be scripted catfights. There’s supposedly a few ending options, so even the stars don’t know for sure what happens. If Carrie and Big don’t stay together, though, we suspect there will be some extra angry fans in attendance!
The movie also has us thinking about how we define ourselves in relation to the pop culture characters. Admit it – you decided a long time ago whether you were a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, or Samantha. Heck, you might even be Louise, Carrie‘s new assistant! No matter which lady you relate to, we have a whole jewelry collection in her honor. If any gentleman readers consider themselves to be a Mr. Big, though, be sure to find us after the show….
Emitations is so excited to be offering exclusive jewelry inspired by Sex and the City (the television series and movie), and we know that fans everywhere are just as enthused. We all wish we could be wearing red soled Louboutins and signature print Louis Vuitton, but (if you’re like us) those brand names are a bit beyond what our wallet can handle. Not to worry – our selection of Sex and the City inspired jewelry was designed with budget fashionistas in mind!
We’ve been waiting with breathless anticipation for the movie version of our fave chick clique, and now we’re in the home stretch! The anticipated release date is May of 2008, all the shots have been filmed, and the hype has begun. Team Emitations has been sorting through the gossip and the glamour; we’re finding new trends and tattling about on-set secrets…
Before we get to the juicy details, why not decide who your on-screen alter ego is? We know you’ve thought about it before, so here’s your chance to discover if you’re a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, or Samantha!

*We will meet Karl, a sarcastic businessman in his late 40s who is also Big’s friend.
*One of the important roles will be that of Dante, a hot and dark man in his 30s.
*Some scenes will feature Lovro Klujcik, the super of an apartment building; a real-estate agent and her assistant; an angry activist woman who is against killing animals for their fur; and a marriage counselor.
