WE HAVE OUR WINNERS – THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING!

Twilight contest, New Moon contest, inspired by Twilight jewelry, Inspired by Twilight Engagement Ring: Bella’s Wedding Ring - Gold, movie jewelry contest

Tell us what you thought about New Moon, and be entered to win our Inspired by Twilight Engagement Ring: Bella’s Wedding Ring – Gold! To enter, just post a comment on this blog or text your thoughts to 30644. Be creative and descriptive – we want to hear what the true experts (aka Twilighters) thought of the film!

(Sorry, Edward Cullen not included!)

Congratulations to our first winner, Leonora Bravo! She REALLY loved New Moon – check out her comment:

“I thought New Moon surpassed the first movie 3-fold! I am a firm believer in reading the book first so I was super psyched for the movie to come out. My loving husband begrudgingly went with me for the Midnight Premier. And luckily enough we got to go for a Double Feature! Twilight first then New Moon! They truly captured the feelings and emotions throughout this movie to a “T” the way they were described in the book. Truly TRULY raw emotionally. I cannot wait to see it again! I’ve got the BB Dakota Jacket so the ring would be the icing on my “Bella-tasy”! And I’ve already got my Edward! Size 9! Go Team Edward!!!”

Congratulations to our second winner, Josh Deardoff! We loved his story about meeting his girlfriend – check out his comment:

“first of all I am a college guy ( the ring would be for my girlfriend lol ) I was not big on reading the twilight books but was talked into it by my friend. after reading the first, I started to become really interested, so I read the second too. my friends thought it was a bit funny so I didn’t talk about the books much, but then I met a very cute girl who happened to be talking about twilight with a friend, I couldn’t help myself so I jumped in the conversation. we talked, and talked, and finally I got up the nerve to ask if she had plans for new moon. her face seemed to light up at the thought and she said “no, not yet”, so I asked if she would like to go with me to the midnight show, I would pick her up and we could watch the first one before.  this would be my first time seeing the first too. she accepted the date and gave me her number :) the night came and was very surprising, we happened to have the same taste in theater candy and even soft drink lol.

well the first movie let me down compared to the book, things just didn’t seem right. I wasn’t sure what to expect of new moon because of this. the time came after waiting in line for quite some time and we took our seats. I had a hard time knowing what to watch, the movie or her reactions to it. we both loved it. it was true to the book and very well done. the suspense scenes even made her reach for my hand :) we sat afterward and talked about all that had happened and made another date, and another and another. I love this movie for so much more than just the story, without new moon I might not have had the chance to meet her…  (her ring size is 7 1/2) ”

  1. Krista Morace Says:

I LOVED New Moon; in fact we has a party the night before the release and the night we saw the movie we are planning on making another group trip!!! I know I would have beautiful babies with Jacob Black!!! Muah!!!! Oh and I wish they would have showed a close up of Bella’s ring. They kinda hurried by that too much to end the movie!!! AHHHHHHH What an awesome movie!!! The Love!!!!

  2. koolchicken Says:

I think the special effects were great, the wolves were huge. I was worried about how they were going to look, but I think they did a great job. I can’t wait until it’s out on Blu Ray!!!!

  3. taylor milligan Says:

i thought New Moon was amazing. I wasnt what I expected, it was way way more! i saw it twice opening weekend and hopefully be able to see it agin soon. The acting was better in this film and the picture in general. Chris Weitz should have a HUGE award for this movie! Hopefully i win this ring because i’ve been trying to win this for months!

  4. megan Says:

New Moon was BEYOND awesome. There is no way I could try to begin to pick a favorite scene, but, here are some of them. Bella’s depression/time passing scene. loved loved loved it. Bella and Jacob building the bikes. The Volturi in Italy. Michael was great as Aro- he was quiet hilarious to me! and the proposal. *sigh* Oh Edward… :)
Longing for Eclipse to be released,
    Megan Jarrell
    (wears a size 8!)

  5. Kathryn Cassidy Says:

I thought the wolf pack was great the boys getting around with no shirts on was hot go TayTay didn’t really like how they changed what happened with Edward, Bella and Alice when they went to see the Volturi but i guess they have to do what will sell the movie but other then that it was good will be definitely buying it on dvd when it comes out to keep my collection going.

  6. Judith Cruz Says:

New Moon is my favorite book in the saga. I went to see it at midnight wit my friends. So I saw the movie I was speechless. The movie followed the book s much as it could and the wolve looked awesome. It keep me on the edge of my seat with the fighting scenes. I LOVED IT so much that I went to see it againg the next day.

  7. Jamaica Slicer Says:

    Ring size: 6

I loved ‘New Moon’! I really appreciated how well it captured the essence of the book.

  8. Leslie Calkum Says:

I LOVED New Moon…I even sat in Bella’s truck when I went to see this before the midnight showing for charity event. Then I went and saw it again today. Thinking about seeing on Thanksgiving.

  9. amy Says:

I enjoyed New Moon but I think I might have liked the film more if I hadn’t read the books 5 times. It’s just that I knew the emotion between Bella and Edward and the movie sometimes disappointed me. I’ll be interested to see how my friends react who haven’t read the books. I thought Taylor was very convincing and really presented Jacob as he was in the books. I thought some scenes were short changed (like Heidi bringing dinner to the Volturi in Italy…you’d need to slow down the film to see her). Billy Burke also did an incredible job…convincing as always. I guess it’s just the limitation of film.

  10. Ivy Field Says:

I truly applaud Chris Weitz and the cast for creating such a masterpiece. Although Twilight was fantastic, New Moon (and its budget) took the saga to a whole new level. I especially thought the forest chase scenes with Victoria were spectacular! I’m sad Rachel Lefevre will not be in the rest of the films. Seeing the Volturi come to life from my imagination was also wonderful, the casting for this group was spot on. I had very high expectations for this film and it met them. =) (size 7)

I liked New Moon better than I liked Twlight. The CGI was amazing. I am looking forward to seeing it again.

  13. lashawndra Says:

New moon was sooooo bad ass! I have to go again on thanksgiving. Chris really did a good job can’t wait for the DVD. best part was the volturi and the end marry me then dooooooooommmmmm lol loved it still talking about it gotta see it again! Best. Movie of the year

  14. Tammy Wooldridge Says:

I loved New Moon. I can’t wait for Eclipse. The movies just come out fast enough.

  15. Mansi Patel Says:

I was so much more excited to watch New Moon than I was Twilight because the promos looked much better and Jacob was fantastic! I had so many expectations for this movie and I’d had a lot about it from friends who went to watch it at midnight.

I thought the movie was surely a notch up than last time and the actors have improved in their portrayal of characters with New Moon. It was great watching it on the big screen. The casting was awesome and they captured so many moments from the book. Surely would’ve loved having more of Edward Cullen but it was real fun watching the director work with the book’s important moments into the movie. The wolves were so huge! The special effects and graphics were beautiful to watch. It was a treat.

The chemistry was sparkling between Jake-Bella-Edward and I can’t wait to watch Eclipse.

Thank for such a fantastic giveaway! I am absolutely in love with the Twilight Saga, an ardent fan and this would be such an amazing giveaway to win for my b’day on the 26th! :D My ring size is 5. Thank you!!!!!!

  16. Sherry Says:

I watched New Moon at a midnight showing. I went with my mother and sister. I wore a Team Emment shirt, my mother wore a Team Edward shirt and my sister wore a Team Jacob shirt. We all thought it was amazing. I loved Twilight, but New Moon was so much better. New Moon was so heartbreaking, I almost cried when I saw Bella stumbling and then fall in the forest after Edward left her. Even though it was so sad it was also hilarious in many places. Bella’s cougar line had the whole theater laughing for two minutes. There really is no way to pick my favorite scene, every scene is so good. Every person did such a great job. Charlie was hilarious once again. Aro was amazing, exactly like I pictured him. New Moon was so great, it is beyond words. Chris Weitz is incredible.

  17. Kim Stenton Says:

Loved the books, loved the movie. Did the double feature with Twilight and then New Moon. Just keeps getting better, but what a cliff hanger!!!! OMG! Can’t wait the 217 days til Eclipse :)

  18. Maria Gonzalez Says:

The movie was amazing. It was such a huge contrast to Twilight that I was more than pleasantly surprised. The colors and imagery were vivid, the CGI effects were great, the music blended well together, it was amazing. Great job Chris Weitz! As a whole it was truly a great visual representation of the book. It captured and brought out the same emotions I had when I was reading New Moon. I can’t wait to see it again and own it on DVD.

Size: 8 please than you k bye.

  19. Katherine korakakis Says:

    ring size:7

I really enjoyed New Moon. I thought that the movie could of had more romance in it. When Bella saved Edward, that seen could of been more, it felt like there was something missing. Also, in her bedroom after coming back from Italy, Bella, should of been more clingy to Edward, to make it more like the book. I have seen the movie 3 times already, and i love it every time. Can’t wait for Eclipse, i just hope there is a lot more bella edward story in it.

  20. kait Says:

    ring size- 8
i loved how true new moon stayed to the book, and even when it was different, it felt like it could happen with those characters. i saw the midnight showing and it was the best group of people ever. when ever taylor was shirtless the guys in the back all clapped. haha. even though i was dead in english class the next morning, it was worth it and i will be going to the midnight showing for eclipse and breaking dawn!

  21. Joy Cruse Says:

It was wonderful. They did a fantastic job bringing the feelings and desperate emotion to the screen. It completely sucks you in. It is a complete treasure to have such amazing talent bring this story to life.

    ring size 9

  22. Elsa Flores Says:

I totally LOVED New Moon! Just like when I read the book for the umph time, I felt Bella’s pain. The pain of Edward’s absence!
    Size:7.5

  23. Ana Says:

I loved New moon I thought it was really good.It was really good because they have a lot of action in the movie. Also because the scene with the volturi and the wolf pack and when Bella and Jacob are together. Also when Bella and Edward are back together.

  24. Mandy Begley Says:

I thought that the New Moon movie was fierce, chart topping, thrilling, and on the edge of your seat fun, it was a rocking keep you guessing, and yet timeless romance!

Ring Size 7, mandy begley, beglaman@aol.com

  25. Linda Dinsmore Says:

I loved New Moon – especially the wolves – they did a great job on the special effects. I think New Moon was even better than Twilight.
    Ring size – 7

  26. Angie Kittendorf Says:

New Moon was such a great continuation to the Twilight Movie. Feeling the pain of the intensity of the lost of Edward through Bella and then the love and friendship of Jacob and Bella grow was beautiful. Jacob was great in this movie. I can’t wait to see the next movie.

  27. Sarah Says:

I liked new moon. It wasn’t my favorite book and it did follow the book alot. The music wasn’t as good but compared to a sequel and the book it was fine. I can’t wait for eclips thought i think that will be better. Twilight was still a little better.

  28. Victoria Williams Says:

Reading the book was awesome, but seeing New Moon special affects was spectacular.

  29. Paige Says:

The book is usually better then the movie, but I thought New Moon was fantastic. It nailed meloncholy on the head. The Pack was exactly how I imagined them to be as well.

  30. Faith Says:

I read all four books and waiting on the movies was a killer wait. new moon was definately better than twilight. I would pay the money to go see it again just to see its brilliance on the big screen. No doubt I will be buying this when it comes out.

  31. Sybil Says:

I have read all 4 books and the few hundred pages of Midnight Sun on Stephanie’s website. I just can’t get enough of Twilight…
I loved New Moon! It was so much better than the first movie. And it followed the book more closely than the first. I saw it at midnight for the first showing with friends, and I plan to go see it again with one of my friends who could not go that night. I will definitely buy the movie when it comes out too!

  32. Krystal Brun Says:

I loved the movie so much, at the end of the movie I gasped along with the audience and had to find out what happens next, so I am now reading Eclipse… The move was great. It was sooo sad to see Edward break up with Bella in the beginning!!!! I can’t wait till next summer when the next movie comes out :) Ring size 7

  33. Cathy Doheny Says:

“This is the last time you’ll ever see me,” he says to save her soul. She feels she has lost her heart. A wolf in man’s clothing befriends her and hopes for more. She flirts with the diversion, but her heart creates trouble to call back the one who got away. A battle between blood seekers and carnivores ensues, and the despondent one must finally choose.
I choose Emitations’ “Inspired by Twilight Engagement Ring: Bella’s Wedding Ring ~ Gold!” (or silver would do too!) Size 7, if you please….No despondency here!

  34. Amanda Spooneybarger Says:

What can I say…I’m a bit of a Twihard. I bought my tickets two months in advance and was dieing to see the movie. I was all dressed up in my New Moon Tshirt and various Twilight Jewelry. When the movie started I instantly started hyperventilating. I was calmed down by the humor in the first scene only to completely lose it when Edward Cullen started walking in slo-mo towards the camera in the second scene. The sudden gasp from the 200 ladies surrounding me let me know it wasn’t just me. After I swallowed my tongue and thanked god for Robert Pattinson I was able to calm down a few minutes but then as soon as the party scene started I burst into tears because I knew what was coming. I shared tissues with all the ladies around me..no such thing as strangers when you are heart broken over Edward Cullen. Luckily Chris Weitz shortened the gut-wrenching pain from the book so we weren’t all sobbing in the aisles. Jacob was a nice piece of eye candy before our hearts were healed. (But I’m so team Edward that I can’t give the wolves much else..they looked nice topless but they don’t sparkle) Weitz once again eased a difficult scene with Alice’s reaction to Jacob’s smell as he begs Bella not to go (quite possibly the funniest part in the movie.) The movie had a lot of humor which was great considering the book was no laughing matter..It still tears my heart out and I know he comes back. Anyway the Italy scene was exciting and i was bouncing in my seat at this point and then Edward’s bare chest had me hyperventilating again. I was sad that they didn’t play out the part where Bella thought she was dreaming, but the vote scene was quite funny. The music in the movie was also an awesome fit…No Sound but the Wind was my fav. I absolutely loved the abrupt ending. The whole theatre groaned and I looked around and yelled..HEY! You are all twihards..you know what she said! The movie was really awesome. It had such a different feel from twilight and was just beautiful to watch. Oh and the sparkles…so much better this time!!!! I can’t wait to go see it again (and again and again!!!) My friends would also say the movie was good (but not nearly as good as watching me lose it over and over)

    ring size 8

  35. ANDONI AGUIRRE Says:

Well, I am a romantic! I think romance will never dissapear. New moon, for me, the second saga film, tastes bittersweet, as the real love is! When you see this spectacular movie (georgous special effects!), you get a special feeling in your heart, you want more happiness for Bella with Edward, but such is life! Nobody can have all they want on world. But sometimes this is all you get… A little taste of real love…A little taste of happiness…A little taste of sadness… A movie for enjoying if you are or are not romantic, but human!!!!…. Or a vampire too!!!!

    ANDONI AGUIRRE.
    RING SIZE: 5.

  36. Karen Says:

I’ve read the books and seen both movies, to date. New Moon surpassed all my expectations and seized my heart like a great love story is intended to do! It is inspiring and brillant!

  37. Leonora Bravo Says:

I thought New Moon surpassed the first movie 3-fold!

    Size 9!

    Go Team Edward!!!

  38. gabriela guerrero Says:

The movie was great, the only thing that could of been better was the lenght of the movie, for me it was too short, we could of seen a lot more scenes, from the book. It was very romantic, with suspense, funny parts, and very entertaining, I could see it again and again. I hope the next movie(Eclipse) is longer, because you can not get enough of seeing Edward or Jacob on the screen, specially when Jacob is not wearing a shirt, he is so Hot. The way they put scenes together was good and the story was close to what the book is, I also would of like to see more scenes of Edward and Bella together when they were coming back from Italy, when they were spending more time together beacuse Bella thought Edward was going to leave her again. That part is so romantic because she is trying to keep every minute she spends with Edward alive in case he leaves. When Jacob is trying to keep her from leaving is so sad because we all know that she can’nt stay, she has to go save Edward. I like the movie a lot It was great.

  39. Patricia Campo Says:

I absolutely loved New Moon!! I really enjoy seeing the books come to life. Can’t wait for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!

  40. Christina Antzoulatos Says:

I simply loved New Moon! It was so close to the book. I think the new director on this sequel was fantastic! I was bummed Edward didn’t get too much play, but Jacob taking off his shirt was well worth it. Wish Jacob was there for me when I had a bloody cut! Mmmm he’s so cute. The wolves were fantastic! They did a great job withthe scenes with them! Plus, I got t meet and take many pics with Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz) before I watched the movie. Made it all the better!

    I wear a size 7.

  41. Christina Antzoulatos Says:

Was completely romantic! I loved how the book was followed so closely! I love how Jacob showed his love for Bella. He deservesva shot! But… I would stillchoose Edward! The soulmate connection is SO there! I live vicariously through them and their love story! The wolf scenes were amazing and exhilirating! I loved them! I can’t wait for Eclispe to come out in June! Plus, before I watched the movie I was able to take many pictures with Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen). That really got my heart pounding! He was so very nice!

  42. Ashley Wiebe Says:

I loved New Moon and was very happy that it stayed quite true to the book. I’m going to see it again this weekend with my brother. Now it’s just waiting for June and Eclipse to come out!
    Ring size 6

  43. April Domingo Says:

Although I was happy to see Taylor Lautner reveal his new buff body, I was greatly disappointed because the story line inadequately captured the friendship between Jacob and Bella, and the pain Bella endured while she tried to get over Edward. However, in comparison to the movie Twilight, the acting, special effects and overall setup of the story to match the book was much better. I’m sure Stephenie Meyer is proud of this one! (size 6)

  44. Carina Kretschmer Says:

I’m a huge fan of the Twilight Series. I was so excited to hear that the movies were coming out. I must say, they are doing a great job on turning the books into movies. My favorite part is when Bella pushes Edward out of the sunlight before he reveals himself and you can tell the love and passion on their kiss and when he says he can’t live without her.

    Size 9

  45. Saadia Gull Says:

I loved “New Moon”. There was so much more action and drama. I love the love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob. I wish they had a close up on Bella’s ring, I was admiring it very much. So excited to see “Eclipse” now! I also appreciate how the director stuck to the original cast of Twilight for New Moon. It just makes it so much more deeper and personal. And I love the music soundtrack in New Moon, sooooo nice! I was so in love with Edward Cullen in the first movie but now I’m appreciating and liking Jacob so much more in New Moon.

    Size 9

  46. samantha guzie Says:

    wow ……..

jacob: as hot as the sun… hotter

edwad: to pale but still love him

    bella: sweet … very depressed

saw new moon in theaters 5 times and loved it every time … love the romeo and juliet scene that was sooooo funny…. my fave scene other than jacob taking of his shirt… HOT… <3

  47. samantha guzie Says:

    btw ….
    size 7

  48. Alyssa B Says:

I thought the movie really portrayed the book as well as any other book turned into a movie. I especially loved the fact that the wolf pack had their shirts off in 90% of the scenes…can’t complain about that!! I can’t WAIT until October for Eclipse!!! – Maybe I’ll read the book again to pass the time before then!!!! (size 8)

  49. Tracy Frazee Says:

I saw New Moon the night it opened with my mother in law and we BOTH loved it! I think it was much more well done than the first (though I still enjoyed that one as well) and I can NOT wait for them to get to book 4!! The movie was done really well, especially all the Jacob/Were storyline and the graphics that were used when they shifted. Just overall, a very well done movie and can I say again that I can NOT wait until the rest comes out! June can’t get here soon enough!
    (Size 6)

  50. Ashlyn Lines Says:

I went to the midnight showing of New Moon, waited in the theater for 2 and a half hours before the movie started and even got a Forks High Spartans sweatshirt to show my New Moon pride. The movie was fantastic, it had everything it needed, great music (I was tearing during Bella’s depression scenes), great acting (much stronger than the first movie), and a lot of action (what can I say I’m a fan of grand theft auto). But what really makes the whole movie experience special is the fans. I mean how many people will go 3 hours early to get seats, bring their laptops to watch Twilight in the theater, dress up in Bella’s actual dress from the movie, and applaud as if the cast was sitting in the theater with us. Ironic, that its the fans who pay to go and the fans who make the experience so unique and special. So yeah, I hated the movie so much I saw it four times in the theater. The ring by the way is so perfectly Bella, if I didn’t know any better I would say Alice picked it out. :)
    (Size 7)

  51. Amanda Miller Says:

Ok, putting aside the book itself I thought the movie was great! I understand that they cannot fit every detail from the book into the movie, but I thought they did a great job fitting in all of the important details from the book into the movie, as well as making sure we kept our Edward fix!!! The CGI wolves were better in the theater than on the TV trailers!! I cannot wait for Eclipse!!

  52. Julie Says:

Sooo much better than the first movie! Thank goodness they switched directors- it made a HUGE difference! I didn’t like the werewolf CGI at first, but it grew on me pretty quickly, and now I love it! The strangest thing though is that I was 100% Team Edward throughout the books (I even skipped over the parts where he wasn’t there when I reread them ;] ), but after seeing the movie, I felt like I was more Team Jacob! So excited for Eclipse to come out this summer, and I’ve already seen New Moon four times in theaters!! :)

  53. Angela Kronk Says:

All I have to say is fantastic! Me and my best friend waited for 4 hours in line and could not contain ourselves for the premiere. It was the best day of my life. Me and my friend are totally obsessed with the twilight saga! When eclipse comes out we are going to L.A. for the premiere. The new moon movie exceeded my expectations and changing the colors that we visually see in this film is so beautiful. I have to be one of the biggest twilight fans!!! Go TEAM EDWARD! Everyone I talk to just loves it and it is my mission to keep seeing the movie at the theaters until it comes out on dvd. I love the twilight saga, it rocks! Also I am a size 9! I love emitations for their twilight jewelry! Rob, Kristen, Taylor are so wonderful!

  54. Tia Says:

It was wonderful escapism and makes one think that being a vampire must not be so terrible. It was very exciting and had a wonderful moodiness, great music and terrific character development. The books were great fun and the movie follows the book. I look forward to seeing the rest of the movies and so does my mom.

  55. josh deardorff Says:

first of all I am a college guy ( the ring would be for my girlfriend lol ) I was not big on reading the twilight books but was talked into it by my friend. after reading the first, I started to become really interested, so I read the second too. my friends thought it was a bit funny so I didn’t talk about the books much, but then I met a very cute girl who happened to be talking about twilight with a friend, I couldn’t help myself so I jumped in the conversation. we talked, and talked, and finally I got up the nerve to ask if she had plans for new moon. her face seemed to light up at the thought and she said “no, not yet”, so I asked if she would like to go with me to the midnight show, I would pick her up and we could watch the first one before. this would be my first time seeing the first too. she accepted the date and gave me her number :) the night came and was very surprising, we happened to have the same taste in theater candy and even soft drink lol.

I love this movie for so much more than just the story, without new moon I might not have had the chance to meet her… (her ring size is 7 1/2)

I love this saga it is the best one I’ve read in along time and I love to read. A few years ago my daughter of 18 told me I should read them she was on Mew Moon and I said na, then I got it at the library and read it and just fell in love with this saga. I was the 2nd person in my town 2 buy a pre ticket of New Moon for a midnite show. It was awesome, I loved it i cried alot, yes in the theater. But i don;t care cause I’m a true fan.

  58. Karla Podurgiel Says:

I enjoyed this highly anticipated film. I have read all the books and think they did a great job staying true to the story. It was definitely a step up with the additional characters and special effects. I’m hooked and can’t wait for the next film to come out and for the current to come out on DVD!
    Size 5 thanks : )

  59. Angela Kuehnen Says:

New Moon was fantastic!! I went with my sister and we took my older sons to the double Midnight showing on Premier Night which was amazing!!! These movies, even if you care nothing about vampires and warewolves, draw you in and keep you wanting more– I am fascinatinated by Stephanie Meyer’s body of work and and these movies now bring her fantastic character development to the big screen for millions to appreciate.
    –counting the days til Eclipse!!

  60. Amethyst Gordick Says:

MMMMMMMMMM! TASTY! New Moon is that tickly sensation all over! Many times goosebumps smothered me, to the point it actually hurt. The actors and actresses are BRILLIANT! I mean, did you see Edwards face when he was telling Bella goodbye! His pain almost swallowed me up completely! Not only is there the love battle between Jacob and Edward, but what what about Mike! I coudn’t help but feel sorry for him at the movies! He must have been ebarrassed to the point of suicide! But the most spine tingling part of the whole movie, was the volturi…… Jane gave me the kreeps! leave it to the sweet and innocent Dakota Fanning to pull off such a vindictive part! New Moon has action, romance, and even comedy! What more can you ask from a movie? It fits the book PERFECTLY! Every important detail was included! I give it 4 stars! But watch out ladies! you might just FAINT at the sight of Taylor Lautner’s abbs! (size 9 please!)

  61. Tamara Boone Says:

I saw this movie with a tween friend as a gift for the holidays, I did not intend to like it and actually thought it was somewhat beneath me, a married mom of three. I was clearly wrong. The acting is wonderful and the storyline even better tapping into the real angst of teenagers everywhere. New moon is less a fight of good vs evil and more a re-enactment of the choices we face or have faced in our lives. Kudos to the producers and cast for reminding me what first love feels like!

  62. Allison Mendyk Says:

What a beautiful ring.I bought one for my daughter and neice not thinking I would like it so much myself.

  63. kelsey Says:

I sat down and read the series of twlight in about 2 days. I was in love with every aspect of each movie. I am a huge fan, and could watch the movies and read the books over and over. I am counting down the days until eclipse comes out in June! I love the soundtracks from both the movies, and if I met any of the actors or actresses in real life, i would pass out. I love this ring and wear gold all the time! size 8 please!

  64. Michelle Says:

LOVED IT! I started reading the series just to have something to occupy my time and I got really interested and couldn’t put them down. The movies are even better just because you have that visual. Bella is my favorite character. My ring size is 9.

  65. Lauren Crawford Says:

I, along with so many others, found the twilight series of books absolutely engrossing. The love story is so unique and powerfully told. New Moon captured the second book so well, I saw it twice! The action was great, everyone was beautiful, and the story was unfold so well that it brought back everything I had read months before. I loved it! I can’t wait for Eclipse!

  66. pauline Says:

In my opinion, new moon was even more of a success than twilight. Even though in the movie edward lefted, you still had a sense that the movie was going to be great. When I was watching the movie, I cried when bella cried, i laughed when she did, and i hate to admitt this but I even fell for jacob when she did. overall ,this movie was genius. my ring size is 8.

  67. Ana Says:

I thought New moon was amazing! and it was really nice how Jacob helped Bella get out of depression after Edward broke up with her and it really made me sad seeing Bella really sad.I also liked how not u
only does the movie have romance but action and comedy too. Also I liked dakota fanning as jane she was really good and the wolf pack too.I think Chris weitz did a great job.My ring size is 7.

  68. Lauren Says:

New Moon was amazing! The addition of the werewolves and the Volturi just brought the Cullens and Bella to life even more than they had been already. It’s a fun movie where people can live out a fun fantasy, and who doesn’t want to see a movie with action, suspense and romance all in one! I’m so glad that the movies have been such a huge success because the books are truly wonderful and they are very easy to get immersed into and the real world just fades away. I can’t wait for the future movies and I only wish the book series would continue, but alas…Still, amazing movie!

  69. kim swiggett Says:

my daughter and i went to see new moon when it opened, both of us have read the books several times she came home from college just so we could go see it. New Moon was spectacular the special effects were amazing and we both got to leave the stress of the real world for a bit, we can’t wait until it comes out on DVD so we can watch it again and again. We both like the way Jacob helped Bella in her time of need and also the fact that Edward loved Bella enought to sacrifice himself to keep her save. the scenes wherer Jacob turns into the wolf were awsome to say the least can’t wait until the next one….. I enjoyed it the most because it was something my daughter and I both actually liked which is great anyone who has children knows that usually your kids don’t like the same thing you do….. thanks to stephanie meyer for her spectacular imagination for all of us moms….

  70. Destiny Says:

I absolutely loved the movie! I’ve seen it three times so far…I can’t wait until Eclipse comes out June 30, 2010!!! Only 194 days 20h58m to go till the midnight premier :)

  71. Christy McDonald Says:

I am a new Twilight Mom, and I absolutely loved NEW MOON! I went with friends to a New Moon event where I earrned a fork charm for guessing all of the names of the wolf pack! My favorite part in the book and the movie was when Aro’s and Jane’s powers of mind reading and inflicting pain had no affect on Bella! This is such an incredible moment in that it shows Bella’s potential for when she becomes a vampire, that she is able to act as a “shield” and protects those that she loves most! In my opinion, this is one big reason that Edward becomes so attractive to Bella, besides that she smells so good! I relate with Bella in this incidence as I have had to protect and be an advocate for my children as Bella did for Renesme. My oldest son has Autism, and my younger son has type 1 Diabetes, in which I have to fight for their rights as well. I’m getting a replica of the locket that Bella gave to Renesme for Christmas which said in French the words, “More than my own life”, and I’m putting my cute boy’s pictures in it! This is why I love Twilight! Can’t wait for Eclipse! Ring size 8! Thank You! Your ring is much more what I pictured it should look like than the one licenced by Stephanie Meyer! Much prettier too! Go Team Edward!!

  72. Christy McDonald Says:

Thank you for having this contest!! Hope I win!!!!!

  73. Dee Boltz Says:

I read all of the TWILIGHT books in ONE week! Of course I neglected all of my other responsibilities for that week, but it was worth it! TWILIGHT, the movie, really disappointed me. BUT, NEW MOON lived up to my expectations. When my friends and I discussed the books, I was always outnumbered, for I was a Jacob fan right from the start. However, NEW MOON, the movie, caused some of my friends to reconsider that opinions, based on the character of Jacob. I think all aspects of New Moon were better than Twilight. But, then again, New Moon had more money and a huge fan following. I think Twilight was just a test to see how into the movies fans would be. So, with such popularity and upgrades, I definitely expected New Moon to surpass Twilight in viewing pleasure. I can’t wait for ECLIPSE!

  74. Janis D Staniewski Says:

Size 5 Please and Please make this ring mine. I love the books and both movies-especially “New Moon”. If I won this ring it would help my fantasy come true!
I want to be a member of the Cullen family!

  75. kristy chupryna Says:

I’m so in love with the Twilight series. I booked tickets for New Moon way in advance and was able to see Twilight right before! I loved every minute waiting in line for New Moon, I had to be there right at 8AM, I thought I’d be first but I was 10th. I got the perfect seat, right in the middle. It was awesome, to say the least. Edward is my man but Jacob could be my space heater anytime. I loved how New Moon captured the essence and emotions in the book and was true to it. The special effects were much better in New Moon. Dakota Fanning played Jane beautifully and I love how the movie lives out Alice’s character. I was sad when New Moon ended, as I wanted it to go on forever. The prom song is my ring tone on my phone. :)

I can’t wait to go to FORKS in the summer and watch Eclipse in the theater shown in the movie! I just booked my plane ticket, seat 21 A. Yeah my husband puts up with my twilight blanket and Edward pillow case. He also has to deal with my new Twilight lunch box, Edward drinking cup, and my favorite of all — Edward wall decal that my secret santa got me. 2010 will be a great year with my Twilight calendar, 12 months of Edward, Bella and Jacob. What more could a girl ask for…
Ring size 7 please please please!!!

  77. Shari Says:

I really liked New Moon. I read all the books first and then I was super exited to see the movies. Since I love the books I was very curious to see how they’ve done it in the movie. So I went to see it with my sister and I loved it right away. I think they did a really good job capturing Bella’s feelings. I could really imaging how she must feel. This movie was really, really good and I loved it. Also, the special effects with the werewolfs.. that was pretty awesome. So it would be really awesome to get Bella’s ring. By the way I think you’ve made it really realistic. So please, ring size 5.

  78. Mindy Pfahl Says:

I am not a sci-fi fan. When Twilight came out, I just didnt have any interest. Vampires and such is not my thing. However, my daughter Mackenzie, she is 13 years old, had read ALL the books–TWICE!! And had begged me to take her to see the movie. Well, it was just the biggest surprise to me to walk out of that theater being a HUGE Twilight fan!! I loved it… so I read ALL the books, I have every book that you can buy about the cast, the author, etc. And for her birthday in May, it was a Twilight party! All kinds of Twilight party gifts, games, gifts, etc… So, when New Moon came out, guess who was first in line to see the midnight showing?! Yep, you guess it, me and Mackenzie!! OMG.. we were both BLOWN away! It was one of the few movies that related SO well to the book! It was breath-taking and beautiful!! We have even recruited my mother, Mackenzie’s nana, in to the Twilight series, and we (Mackenzie and I) have since gone back to see the movie 2 more times! It has brought me and my daughter closer together!! Which I give a BIG appreciative THANK YOU to everyone involved with Twilight! It has given us not only something to talk about, but games for her and I to play, books to share and read, and now that its Christmas… gifts for her and I to share. It has given us that bond back between mother and daughter that we had begun to sort of loose due to her being a teenager now. One a second note, my husband and I were married a year ago in July and we did not have any money to buy wedding rings for each other. So , being a HUGE Bella fan that I am… this ring would be my new wedding ring as well as a symbol of the undying and most romantic love story I have ever seen. I wear a size 9. Thank you and Happy Holidays to everyone!! :) God Bless

  79. Ellen Rosner Says:

I have read the book, and I have become totally addicted to the movies. It is so magical-not an accident that in this world we live in, we can believe there are these special moments to watch, and to escape into! Also-ya know, it is so nice to know that vamires are protective and loving, and not all like the Bella Lugosi movies of the 1930′s. We have enough doom and gloom today-this ranks up there with all the stories and movies about how there are angels watching over us….

  80. Lindsey Gratto Says:

    Hey Twilighters,
I went to see the movie just recently and it was incredible! I haven’t felt this way about a movie ever (not even the notebook.) I have loved movies but i am insane when it comes to the Twilight series. I took my sister to see New Moon because she is a bigger fan than i am if that is even possible. Well needless to say we were very emotional while watching it, we even cried at the end when Edward asked Bella to marry him! The graphics in New Moon were fantastic and i agree with the other twilight fans, it did follow the book amazingly. I always hated that about making books into movies the directors never followed the book well or left out parts that helped tie scenes together but not this time i am so excited about it still!!!! Also if i didn’t know what C.G.I was i would have thought those werewolves were real, truly amazing :) .
On another note I just bought a house(yay!) and dedicated an entire room to Twilight memorabilia. I have everything i can find, bookmarks, board games, t-shirts, posters, lunchboxes, key chains, coffee cups, tote bags, book bags cellphone ring tone and background picture, pins, my entire Christmas tree is twilight either stuff i bought or made,i have framed tiles with quotes on them, and there is much more i can’t help it i am in love for the first time with this saga. I also wanted to ask for everyone to pray for my sister she was just diagnosed with leukemia she is thirty two years old and i think this ring would brighten one of her days very much. She wears a ring size 8.

    Thanks Twilighters,
“If you could live forever, what would you live for?”

  81. Lisa Schiller Says:

I absolutely loved the Twilight and New Moon movies! My 13 year old daughter asked me for the Twilight books for her to read. I decided to buy all of them for her but I wanted to read them first so that I could make sure they were appropriate for her. I was so captivated by the story and the characters that I actually read all 4 books in 2 weeks. I could not put them down! I let her read them and as she read one, I would pick it up and read it again. I have read the books 4 times now! I was excited when the movies came out however I was ready to be disappointment because as with most movies that are made after a book, you tend to lose a lot of what was in the book. I was pleasantly surprised! The books are amazing and the movies are fantastic! I took my daughter to the first showing at midnight for Twilight and for New Moon and I plan to take her to the next two at the first showing as well! We own Twilight and plan on owning New Moon when it is released on DVD. We are both hooked! She is 13 and of course she is “Team Jacob” because of looks and I am “Team Edward” simply because I love the idea of eternal and everlasting love…what woman doesn’t want that?! We have agreed to disagree on that! We have bought each other everything of Twilight and enjoy adding to our collection! I would love to be able to surprise her with this ring to wear! Thank you for the awesome contest!!!

  82. McKenna Stone Says:

OME! I’m such a huge twilight fan! I’ve read all the books at least 12-13 times each! I’ve alreay seen New Moon like 7 times and I’ve seen Twilight like 200 times (yes it is possivle to watch twilight 200 times)! I love The Twilight Saga! My friends are always joking about have obsessed I am. I’m never afaraid to say that yes I have OCD (Obsessive Cullen Disorder). I would be sooooo happy to win and if i do i would wear the ring everyday. My ring size is 7! Thank You for coming up with this contest! I hope I win! Once again my ring size is 7!
PS: i know prolly everything about the movies and the books! RIng size is 7!

  83. Sydney Weldon Says:

I absolutely loved New Moon. It completely captured everything that Stephanie Myer wrote in the book! I was already a huge twilight fan and knew that the movie would be a huge hit so I ordered my tickets about a month in advance for the mid-night premire! I loved it so much that I went twice and would totally go see it a third time. I recently got a live size movie poster and look at it everyday! If I had Bellas engagement ring in a size 9 I would wear it everyday!!! Go Tea Edward!

  84. Olga Szargan Says:

Hi! My name is Olga. Can I enter the contest if I am from Poland? Yes, I live in this small country in Europe. It’s very frustrating… It worse than Bella thought of Forks. I better write my size, becouse I can forget it. My size is 7. I know I am not original, but I am huge fan too. I love “Twilight” saga! I was writing a novel about vampires before I know about “Twilight” and I needed inspirations. Then I found this. I fall in love with these books. I read this in one week. I wrote to S. Meyer and she said that Istral (my vampire) is a great name! I was verry happy! If for every time when I watched “Twilight” I would be a one year older I will be older than Edward! I went to cinema to watch “New moon”. I had a lot of tissues in every pocket. I could open the tissues shop:). Edward was quiet, little depressed and then… he has gone… :( Of course I cried when he left Bella. Then my heart was broken too. When she sat by the window I felt like I look to myself. I love adrenaline scenes especially the cliff diving. It was amazing! Alice was magical. She was friendly, cheerful, lovely – wonderful! I dream of friend like she is. Rachelle Lefevre was very convincing – perfect Victoria. I’m curious how will the Bryce Dallas Howard. I like Jacob more than in the books. He was very good in his role. When he undressed I heard famously, noisy “ohhhhhhhhhhh” at the cinema:). I had some concerns about the Dakota (she is older than Jane in the book) but she was well – very dangerous look and this smile (it gives me the creeps). The final scene was exciting – “Marry me”. If Edward ask me (if I won’t faint) I will say “YES, YES, YES” and trillion times” YES”. This ring would be the crowning of it all. It’s so pretty. Exactly the same like in the book. What can I say more? It’s hard to me becouse english isn’t my ancestral language ->sorry for mistakes:) (hmmm… I think so I will have a problem in polish too, becouse my words are too poor to express what I feel).

    size: 7 ( I remember:) )

  85. Olga Szargan Says:

I want to add something to my last response. Can I? It’s difficult task to me, but I had creative inspiration, I think. Sorry for mistakes again:). I think I have more bugs than a little child. I hope You have fun. Enjoy:).

Few months ago when I saw „soon”
I had only one think – “New moon”
I know You thought about the same,
    because Twilight Fan You became.
When I read this awesome book
I seriously have “in love” look.
My hearty family laughed at me…
I don’t care, because I want to be
    crazy and everyday loves vampire
this is my the best, only empire…
Ok, I am doing what I should to do,
because a few days it will be undo…
“New moon” – I fall in love with this
and it stole my heart, I couldn’t resist!
When I sat with my (a lot) tissues pack
at the cinema I nearly had a heart attack!
    I couldn’t believe that – it’s now! It’s now!
I was waiting for it more than for Christmas snow.
The first scene with Bella’s (like) grandmother
was good. Just a human Bella’s little bother.
Edward’s sparkle in sunlight made me smile
the last time… He decided to leave for a while…
The birthday party was perfect… presents, cake too…
Until careless Bella got gifts and had papercut.
The blood was really real, dark color, consistency…
Not like cheap ketchup – bought in food agency.
Then everything was over. HE HAS GONE!
I felt like he was mine. My only one…
I saw “goodbye scene” –his golden eyes change color.
I know he felt the same: pain, despair, sorrow, dolor…
Later was my favorite scene – Bella sat by the window.
Awesome song… No hope, no light in the shadow.
Charlie (Billy Burke – amazing actor) was nice dad.
She was screaming – he was coming and spoke that isn’t bad.
Adrenaline, adrenaline, adrenaline – was the only way to see him…
Motorcycles were that’s all. She wasn’t thinking about being victim.
There were some (not one) inconsistency with the book
She didn’t board a motorcycle with a man – dangerous look,
but it was ok. It added some chills and action.
I must admit authors some rations.
Then she thought about Jake – her mechanic friend.
Taylor was working so hard – his muscles are legend.
When in one of scenes he smiled and undressed
I heard “awwwwwwwww” – born new obsessed.
The other werewolves weren’t that popular but nice.
In freeze days I would like to hug their once or twice.
The cinema scene was funny. When I looked to their hands
I smiled. Yeah, Jacob and Mike were in enemy bands.
It was sad, but I like the meadow memory
when Edward affirmed (clearly) her vampire theory.
Laurent – I accustomed to his dark skin.
It’s more important that Edi was good as him.
When Jacob wanted to say the something more
he looked so sweet I really adore.
The Victoria’s chase was very powerful. She wasn’t traipse.
Rachelle was great. I will miss her in “Eclipse”.
Now my second favorite scene – more emotions giving.
Of course I am talking about Bella’s cliff diving.
That was incredible. Moments away from death…
    I watched, couldn’t move, couldn’t take a breath.
Later something changed. Heart was flame.
Hope woke up… Yeah, Alice came!
I was more happy than Bella in this scene.
Then I felt so much better, serene.
    Italy. Volterra. Rush. Adrenaline.
It was like walking on another thin line.
I know how it end but it was to much.
I had butterfly in my stomach!
Volturi looked dangerous, Jane’s smile especially.
Kajusz looked a little like Malfoy. Please don’t be brutally.
Fight was a nice idea. There were action more…
    Little sensational? Yes! I adore.
Happy End! Edward ask “Marry me?”
    True love forever should be!

  86. Sarah Says:

I was eager to see ‘New Moon’ because I thought it would be a difficult task -if not an impossible one- to match up with the brilliance of ‘Twilight’, but the film surpassed my expectations. I’ve seen it 4 times now and I’m still discovering new details (and surprisingly enough, the lady from the teather still succeeds in looking stunned to see me there, buying another ticket :)

First of all, when it comes to the special effects (and I’m sure most people will agree) they deserve a thumbs up… the wolfs, the reflection in their eyes and of course the fights were “supernatural”!!! I also liked the fact that, even though it’s a very sad film, they still put in enough humor at exactly the right places.

I must admit though, that I couldn’t help fidgeting my seat, half way the movie, as I was anxious to see The Cullens once more (I wouldn’t have mind them having a slightly bigger role), but then again, I guess that’s the price you pay for being an Edward-fan. Mind you, I do am happy with the way Chris handled Bella’s hallucinations, so that Edward was never too far away.

Nonetheless, I thought this film was extraordinary and it leaves me hungering for more.

The Twilight Saga: ‘New Moon’ was far beyond okay,
And yet with ‘Eclipse’ already being on its way,
I can’t help, but long for the moment that I’ll have seen
How ‘Breaking Dawn’ looks like on the big screen,
But whatever happens next, I’ve grasped from the start,
That ‘Twilight’ will always have that special place in my heart.
