Princess Diana’s Rings + Diana: A Celebration
Princess Diana, affectionately known as “The People’s Princess”, is once again in the spotlight. The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia has a nine gallery exhibition titled Diana: A Celebration which chronicles the life and untimely death of the iconic woman. Emitations.com offers a collection of replica Princess Diana jewelry, so we were intrigued to learn more about this fascinating exhibit!

Diana: A Celebration is said to include heirlooms, letters, photos, and videos from Diana’s childhood. Nearly thirty outfits are featured, including gowns, suits, and dresses from high fashion designers such as Chanel and Versace. Everyone seems to agree, though, the the most exciting feature is the display of Princess Diana’s wedding gown. The televised wedding of Diana Spencer and Prince Charles of Wales made an impression worldwide, and the gown symbolizes both the woman and the period in history. The stunning wedding dress (complete with a 26 foot train) is paired with her shoes, veil, parasol, and diamond tiara. Princess Diana’s engagement ring is not featured, as it was gifted to Prince William and is currently kept by the family.

The celebration exhibit also contains poignant reminders of Diana’s tragic death, including the musical score and handwritten lyrics of Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s song “Candle in the Wind”. The final exhibit ends with the original transcript of her brother Earl Spencer’s eulogy tribute, letters of condolence, and pictures of the thousands of flowers placed in at Kensington Palace in tribute to Diana. If you would like to honor Princess Diana in your own way, consider purchasing one of our pieces of replica Princess Diana jewelry. We have a faux sapphire version of Princess Diana’s engagement ring, plus a matching necklace and earrings. We also have a replica of Princess Diana’s ring that was said to be the Princess Diana engagement ring from Dodi Fayed.
