Ashlee Simpson, who at 4 months looks twice as pregnant as Nicole Kidman, was spotted shopping for baby gear. The new rumor is that she’s having a boy, based on the items purchased at Petit Tresor baby boutique. Thing is, this is the same store that Tom Cruise is upset with for sharing personal info about Katie Holmes. So maybe Ashlee knew the details would leak? We’re not sure about the boy vs girl issue, but with all the new celebrity babies, we’re gonna need some more boys to balance things out. So far the only one is Christina Aguilera’s little guy!

We can just see the next generation of young Hollywood once they’re old enough to hit the clubs…Max Liron (Aguilera’s son) will be dancing with Harlow Kate (Nicole Richie’s daughter), Maddie Briann (Jamie Lynn’s daughter), the Jolie-Pitt twins (IslAmelie, as we like to call them, AKA Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane), Honor Marie (Jessica Alba’s daughter), and Nahla Ariela (Halle Berry’s daughter). The older set has a few more boys – Kingston Rossdale, Pax and Maddox Jolie-Pitt, Sean Preston and Jayden James Spears Federline, and Baron William Trump…but you still have to factor in Shiloh and Zahara Jolie-Pitt, Dannielynn Smith (Anna Nicole’s daughter), Suri Cruise, and Valentina (Salma Hayek’s daughter) as well.

Can you imagine all of those celebs meeting to pick up their kids from daycare? It would be pure chaos!

The French magazine Closer broke news this morning that Angelina Jolie was thisclose to introducing the new twins to the world. First they said she was in labor, but then they provided the following statement to Perez Hilton:

“Angelina Jolie will give birth in the following days. This morning we informed you that Angelina Jolie was supposedly giving birth.The actress is actually under observation at Lanval hospital in Nice. She was admitted on sunday afternoon and should remain there until she gives birth of her twins. She is to be due in the upcoming days.”

The Associated Press has confirmed the news, and we trust them a whole heck of a lot more than Entertainment Tonight. ET still hasn’t admitted that they were wrong about the original Angie in labor rumor, so maybe now they’ll just try to say they were really, really ahead of the game?

UPDATE: Per Jossip, the babies may have already arrived, and Angie might be sporting a fake pregnant tummy. Here’s the direct quote:

Yesterday we forecasted that In Touch’s photos of Angelina Jolie looking very pregnant in France while playing with Zahara and Shiloh would be met with the requisite skepticism, especially since Entertainment Tonight reported Ms. Jolie already gave birth, and they’re standing by their story. And it’s happening. “Some remain unconvinced,” reports Rush & Molloy, that Jolie is still carrying the twins inside her. That photo of her with the belly? “Prosthetic tummy!” So where are the babies? If they were born, they were premature, which means they are “being secretly cared for in a French hospital” until they’re strong enough for People or OK! to pay eight-figures to take their photo.”

In Touch Weekly confirmed – via panoramic picture – that Angelina Jolie is indeed still pregnant. They managed to score a far away shot of Angelina with daughters Shiloh and Zahara, but no babies. Even from a distance, Angie’s pregnant belly is distinct! If you recall, Entertainment Tonight broke the story of Angelina’s delivery a few weeks ago, and has yet to retract the announcement. ET says they told us all it was just a rumor – albeit an incredibly detailed one! Newest ETA for the Jolie-Pitt twins is mid July, so check back then…and don’t forget, we’re still trying to start the wave of calling the twins IslAmelie. So far it doesn’t seem to have caught on!

UPDATE: Per JustJared, the twins have been born and are healthy and strong! His direct quote below:

“FYI: Sources tell The Daily News that contrary to denials, Angie has given birth to her twins. “They’re waiting till the babies are bigger and stronger before they allow anyone to take their picture,” a source told the paper.”

Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren are the proud parents of a new baby girl!

Last Saturday, June 7th, their daughter Honor Marie Warren was ushered into the world. She made her appearance at the Los Angeles hot spot for famous new arrivals, Cedar Sinai Medical Center. Other recent celebrity babies delivered there include Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman’s son, Max Liron Bratman, and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden.

We’re not sure who Jessica Alba likes to hang out with, but Honor Marie will have plenty of options for celeb baby play dates! If she doesn’t find friendship with Max or Harlow, there’s always the Brangelina twins (supposedly named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane), Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani’s baby-to-be, or Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s upcoming tot. Our congratulations and best wishes go out to Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, and new arrival Honor Marie!

UPDATE AGAIN: Whether they’re born yet or not, we officially propose the nickname IslAmelie for the twins. That name fits right in with this clan!

America’s most multi-cultural family, the Jolie-Pitts, have officially welcomed numbers 5 and 6 to their brood! Twins Isla Marcheline (named for Angelina’s mother) and Amelie Jane (named for Brad’s mother) were born in France, and everyone is doing well. They joined their big brothers Maddox (6) and Pax (4), and their big sisters Zahara (3) and Shiloh (2).

Brad and Angie consider it important to educate the kids about their cultural roots, so expect the twins to be bilingual in English and French from the get-go. We’ve decided the uuber-attractive family needs one more to round out the family, so we can officially refer to them as ”7th Heaven: Hollywood Edition”. Hopefully a boy will be next, so Brad, Maddox, and Pax won’t be too out-numbered!
