Halloween Jewelry: Spooky Style Goes Glam!
Thursday, October 21st, 2010Do you have your Halloween jewelry yet? It’s almost the end of the month – better hurry!
Halloween jewelry usually goes one of two ways:
1. As a costume accent – like wearing snake jewelry for a Medusa costume, or Egyptian style earrings for a Cleopatra costume (include a gorgeous snake necklace to recreate the poisonous asp for a Cleopatra deluxe costume!)
2. As an accessory to bring a little bit of Halloween bling to a regular outfit.
If you’re going for a complete costume this Halloween, consider some unique jewelry to tie the look together. We have great accents for the most popular looks we expect to see for Halloween 2010! If you’re going as Snookie from Jersey Shore, you definitely need some huge hoop earrings. If you’re planning on going with the Lady Gaga look, you can try a big bubble necklace or a pyramid spike ring. (Sorry, no butcher bling available if you’re re-creating her infamous meat dress!) Want to be Betty or Joan from Mad Men this year? A brooch and a pair of clip-on button earrings are practically required.
Fictional characters are always big for Halloween costume trends, and 2010 is no exception. Expect to see plenty of Edward Cullens and Bella Swans out and about this year. We have a whole collection of inspired by Twilight jewelry – including the charm bracelet, engagement ring, and Bella’s moonstone ring – that is perfect for Halloween. You can also go with other new classic characters, like a Bond Girl (with our Algerian Love Knot Necklace, of course), or Rose from Titanic (with our faux Heart of the Ocean necklace). Being your favorite Sex and the City lady is also easy with jewelry from Emitations – try a two finger flower ring, a moon and star necklace, or a faux black diamond engagement ring.
Emitations is a great source for Halloween themed accessories! We have all of the hot Halloween styles that you want, like skull earrings, snake rings, and spider necklaces. You can pair any (or all!) of these with a basic black outfit for an instant boost of spooky style. Other fun options include handcuff necklaces, “poison” apple pendants, evil eye bracelets, owl cocktail rings, or men’s skull rings.
Get creative for Halloween 2010, and be sure to get shopping soon! There’s nothing scarier than waiting too long and being left without any hot Halloween styles to wear…
